Q?Do I need to be fit to start training at Hangar4?
A.

No, we cater for all levels of fitness.

Q?What should I wear to the MuayThai Beginners class?
A.

Shorts and a tee shirt/singlet. No trainers required; classes are done barefoot.

Q?What should I wear to the BJJ Beginners class?
A.

A tee shirt/rashie and tracksuit bottoms (gi class) or shorts (no-gi class). We have gi tops for new students to borrow.

Q?What is Tabata?
A.

Tabata is high-intensity interval training (HIIT), which is an enhanced form of interval training that alternates periods of short intense anaerobic exercise with short recovery periods. Our Tabata sessions run for 30 mins in total. These short, intense workouts provide improved athletic capacity and conditioning, and are great for calorie and fat burning.

Q?I’d like to have a MuayThai fight. When will I be ready?
A.

To fight for Hangar4 you need to train consistantly. Tell Carl you would like to fight and he will assess your skill level and let you know when you are ready.

Q?I have never trained in MuayThai before. Which classes are suitable for me?
A.

Students with little or no experience are welcome to join in Monday night’s MuayThai Fundamentals class, or any of the MuayThai Beginners classes.

 

Q?I have trained in kickboxing/Taekwondo/other and want to train MuayThai. Which class should I come to?
A.

We suggest starting out at Monday night’s MuayThai Fundamentals class, or any of the MuayThai Beginners classes, and we’ll assess your skills and abilities to see if you’re ready for the advanced classes.

Q?I’d like to try BJJ but have never trained before. Which class should I join?
A.

Monday night’s BJJ class is open to all, from complete beginners to more advanced students. We also run classes for complete beginners and white belts on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Q?Am I ready to join in the MuayThai sparring class on Saturdays?
A.

Sparring is for those who train consistantly and who have the required skill levels. Let Carl know if you would like to join this session and he will assess whether you are ready.
