About Us

Who We Are

Hangar4 MMA opened it’s doors in 1999, making it Melbourne’s oldest MMA gym. Originally running out of a 200sqm airport hangar in Essendon (which is how Hangar4 it got its name), many of Melbourne’s current MMA gyms can trace their roots back to Hangar4.

Having outgrown our last two premises, we are now running out of 120 Regent Street, Preston, in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. We have a 900m² facility, boasting a 200m² wrestling mat, a 200m² striking mat, a full sized boxing ring, and a separate fully-equipped weights room to supplement your training.

As well as winning golds in Australia’s biggest BJJ comps, we have also produced three Victorian World MuayThai Council State Champions.
